Business Development Specialist-Houston , Texas

R. STAHL is seeking a Business Development Specialist to help us successfully reach prospective clients and develop them into full sales accounts!!

  • Develop new opportunities into new customers (80%)
  • Developing Net Fishing Accounts  (60%)
    • Develop new sales  from potential customers that have an identified need, and have come to R. STAHL.
      • Turn opportunity into sales

    • Be creative…  Finding unique solutions….  How can we cast more nets?
  • Develop accounts via traditional channels (20%)
    • Initiate phone contact with designated clients to begin or expand on business relationships.
    • Data Mine using diagnostic selling process & populate the CRM system.
    • Participate in sales conference meetings, share feedback, and information
    • Support the Director of Business Development by helping prospect new clients through phone, email, and web casts.
    • Prospect a specific segment or defined target market to look for opportunities and turning those opportunities into sales.
  • KEYS TO SUCCESS
    • Being a contributor to the team in developing a good strategy…  How do we find opportunities on our own?  Where shall we focus?  How shall we approach?
    • Not being afraid to find out who we need to speak to, and who the buying influences are
  • Other Activities (20%)
  • Assist with requirement gathering analysis (Become proficient in Navision reporting)
  • Travel to support sales (in calls) when needed
  • Qualify lead opportunities
  • Support  the Director of Marketing and Business Development on various projects
  • Prepare weekly status reports, meeting minutes and perform communications management.

 

Education and/or Experience:

  • 4 year BA, BS degree.
  • 3 years of experience in marketing, sales, and/or service

 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be meticulous and have a deep dedication to provide world class customer service.
  • Ability to grasp and understand technical concepts related to electrical products.
  • Ability to assist customers and develop requirements and statements of work.
  • Ability to converse easily and confidently when discussing business affairs with prospective companies.
  • Experience in content/document management software solutions, CRM
  • Ability to handle projects and work alongside others in a team.
  • Excellent computer knowledge (databases, Office Suite, intermediate word and Excel)
  • Ability to travel to support sales as needed.
